John Dawson grew up in Rock Island, Illinois. He studied Material Science Engineering at Michigan State University for a year and a half before enlisting in the United States Air Force.  John served 6 years from 1989-1995 as an Avionics Technician on F-111s and C-5s.  As part of Desert Storm/Shield, John supported the Northern No-Fly zone in Iraq.  John is a member of VFW Post 1303 in Rock Island.  In October of 1996, John was employed at Litton Life Support which has since become Eaton.  He was there for 25 years as an Assembly Technician building Military Diving Gear for EOD and Special Forces. In April of 2022, John retired from Eaton.  John is married to Missy and they have a daughter Mallory.  John plays ice hockey in the local men’s leagues and Dekhockey.

After spending three years in network television Brian joined the Storm at the beginning of the inaugural season.  A native Floridian and graduate of the University of South Florida, Brian comes to the Quad Cities by way of Bismarck, North Dakota where he worked as a live event broadcaster for the BEK Sports Network.  As a former player and avid fan of the game of hockey, Brian is thrilled to be able to promote and grow the game as a member of the Storm!

Director of Marketing

Michael is a native of Fort Myers, Florida and is thrilled to be fulfilling his goal of running the marketing and media operations for a professional hockey team. Michael lives in Estero, FL with his dog George and comes to the Storm after working in the University of South Florida and University of South Alabama athletic departments. When he’s not working Michael is watching and staying plugged in to his favorite teams: the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Director of Ticketing

Matt is an Iowa Hawkeye and Muscatine native that joins the Storm following a season with the Northwood League's Rockford Rivets.  Previously, Matt spent three season with the Fort Wayne Mad Antz; the Indiana Pacers G-League affiliate.

 

In his spare time Matt enjoys golfing, live events and spending time with family and friends.

Account Executive

Fintan is from East London, England and graduated from Saint Ambrose University in the spring of 2023.  In his time at Ambrose, he interned with the Storm during the 21-22 and 22-23 seasons.  He spent a season with the Atlanta Professional Rugby team before returning to the Quad Cities to join the Storm.

Corporate Sales

Ann Boyd is a Corporate Sales Executive for the Quad City Storm and TaxSlayer Center.  Formerly with the Quad-City Times and Lee Enterprises, Ann has worked nearly 25 years in media advertising sales.  Local Quad Cities’ hockey has created some amazing memories for Ann and her family.  Ann’s son, Nick Boyd, at the age of eight, had the honor and privilege of starting his professional National Anthem singing career with the Mallards (later to the Quad City Flames, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears).  The Boyd family has enjoyed Quad Cities’ hockey for years and look forward to the Quad City Storm’s season.  Ann is excited to be a part of creating the best fan experience for you.  A native to the Quad Cities, Ann enjoys working out and spending time with her husband, Jeff, and three children, Nick, Conner and Chloe.

Jackson Marker

Director of Operations and Content Manager

Jackson served as an intern with the Quad City Storm from 2022-2024 before joining the front office staff as the Marketing and Operations Manager. The Chicago native was a student athlete at St. Ambrose University, playing basketball and graduating with degrees in Sports Management and Marketing. Jackson enjoys spending his free time watching sports, primarily Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and the Chicago Bulls.

In Game Host/Emcee

Megan Johnson, a Dewitt, Iowa native, is well known around the Quad Cities as a radio personality and emcee. She is excited to be returning to the Quad City Storm for her second season. You can hear Megan on the Dwyer & Michaels Morning Show on 97x and also as emcee for the Quad Cities River Bandits. Outside of work she enjoys playing in volleyball tournaments and coaching for the Iowa Select Volleyball Club.
