Mattson, Ustaski and Fournier Receive All-SPHL Honors

MOLINE, IL. – The SPHL announced today that Quad City Storm players Leif Mattson, Matt Usaski and Dillon Fournier have received All-SPHL honors. Mattson was named to the first team while Ustaski and Fournier were named to the second-team.

 

In just his second professional season Leif Mattson appeared in 45 games, recording career-highs in both goals (28) and assists (31) and setting a franchise single-season record for points (59). The 24-year old finished the season third in the SPHL in points, fourth in goals and seventh in assists. This record setting season featured three hat tricks and a five-game goal streak. His 28 goals and 31 assists are both second most in a single-season in Storm history. 

 

Matt Ustaski was named to the All-SPHL second team for the first time in his career after setting career highs in goals (27), assists (28) and points (53), despite only appearing in 35 games this season. Ustaski finished the year sixth in the SPHL in goals and eighth in assists. His 53 points tied teammate Cole Golka for third most in a single season in franchise history.

 

In his third season with the Quad City Storm, Dillon Fournier has received All-SPHL honors for the first time in his career. Appearing in 45 games, Fournier finished the season tying his career-high with four goals. The 29-year old finished the season third amongst SPHL defensemen in assists (30) and fifth in points (34). His 30 assists are the third most in a single season in franchise history.
