MOLINE, IL. – The SPHL announced today that Quad City Storm players Leif Mattson and Brent Moran have received All-SPHL honors. Mattson was named to the first team while Moran was named to the second-team.
Leif Mattson tallied a Storm franchise record 68 points during the '24-'25 season, recording career highs in goals (31), assists (37) and plus/minus (+17). The Manitoba native finished the season second in the SPHL in both goals and points as well as fourth in assists. This season, Mattson took sole possession of the franchise career goals record (77) in just 119 career games.
Moran finished the season with a 21-14-1-2 record that featured a franchise record four shutouts, trailing only peoria's Colby Muise (8) on the season. The Ontario netminder posted a .923 save-percentage, stopping a career-best 1,281 shots on the year. Moran's 21 wins ties the single-season franchise wins record that Moran established himself during the '23-'24 season.
