The Quad City Storm Hire new Mathias Ahman as new Assistant Coach

MOLINE, IL -  The Quad City Storm is excited to announce Mathias Åhman as the third Assistant Coach in franchise history. 

Åhman is no stranger to the Quad Cities, where the former defenseman appeared in 82 games over two seasons for the franchise in the ‘19-’20 and ‘22-’23 seasons scoring eight goals and adding 26 assists

The Härnösand, Sweden native is looking forward to returning to Vibrant Arena in a new role. “I’m honored to return to the team, this time in a coaching role rather than as a player. Each year brings new expectations, and I’m excited to embrace them as I step into this position.” said Ahman. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the team’s success in a new way. I really look forward to helping our players reach their full potential and achieving great things together.”
