Cole Golka named Warrior/SPHL Player of the Week

MOLINE, IL. – The SPHL named Quad City Storm forward Cole Golka the Warrior Hockey Player of the Week for February 26 - March 3.

Golka started the weekend Friday with a 4-point effort (2g, 2a) that helped the Storm to a 6-3 win.  Golka continued the scoring by recording his 25th goal of the season in the first period of Saturday night’s 3-2 win in Evansville.

A native of Ardrossan, Alberta, Golka is having his best season in professional hockey with 25 goals and 16 assists on the year, both personal bests, with ten games remaining in the regular season.

The Storm return to action at Vibrant Arena at The MARK this weekend to face off against the Macon Mayhem Friday March 8th and Saturday March 9th.  

Friday March 8th is Star War Night presented by Big 106.5 and Saturday March 9 is First Responders Night presented by Blackhawk Electric.  At Saturday’s game First Responders receive a free game ticket when they present their ID badge at the Vibrant Arena box office.  Tickets can be redeemed now through gameday.
